Our Platinum Program includes all of our competition companies and teams. Prospective Platinum Program company members must attend at least 8 days of our June summer intensive and audition on the last day. Prospective kick team members must attend the July Kick Team classes and will be placed at the beginning of August.
A prospective Platinum Program dancer must have been dancing for two to three years, currently enrolled in a ballet class and is typically at least a rising third grader. Dancers interested in the Platinum Program should be dancing about 2 - 3 hours per week.
The Jr. Elite and Elite companies are the highest level companies in the program. Dancers in those companies have typically been dancing at least 6 years and are dancing 4-6 hours per week.
Jr. Elite and Elite Jazz/Contemporary are a combined company and are the most intense of the program. This combined company requires two ballet technique classes per week either in the Open Division or Platinum Program. The Jr. Elite and Elite Jazz/Contemporary company members are dancing at least 6 hours per week.
The Platinum Program is both an opportunity and a privilege. Teamwork is held as the upmost of importance. Being present for all classes, rehearsals and performances is a must. We work with school and extracurricular schedules but there will be times that the competition team must come first. The Platinum Program members will sign a contract with their parents committing to their company/team.
Dance competition provides dancers the opportunity to perform, to better themselves, to work toward a common goal with others and to learn sportsmanship. The dance competition is not about winning medals but about the satisfaction of a performance in which you gave your best effort.
Please email us if you are interested in joining the Platinum Program.
